Colourful Roses for a colourful mind

While I was wondering what to do next, I saw a glass lying in one corner saying to me "Please use me!". So, what could be the next step? Obvious.. Draw a sketch!. Running imaginations quick and started scouting for a new good picture.

Roses are always a pleasant thing to watch!. One of the nature's beauty!. And of course, an excellent thing to draw!. Ain't it!!..

What is also interesting on this painting is that, this glass is not a regular square, rectangular glass! Instead, it is a round shaped glass :-). Hence, the design has to be carefully chosen and be correct to fit the round glass.

I hope you would enjoy viewing it and let roses refresh all our minds!!!!

Lord Krishna

I had always wanted to draw a painting on Lord Krishna.. One of the reasons being - Krishna can be viewed as a small kid, a boy and what not!!.. While I was searching for a right photo, this photo somehow impressed me with the flute ( an inseparable one) and a cow.. This was one of a long painting. The steps to it is very simple. It is just like the glass painting I had posted. To make it more appealing, a light background will be the apt for framing!. I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.. Let Lord Krishna shower blessings on all of us!

My new paintings

GLITTER WORK

I dreamt of doing gods picture for very long time. I choose GAJALAKSHMI as my design.I chose the goddess who is the bestower of wealth & prosperity. Its a bit difficult to draw but if you finish its an awesome work. You can finish the drawing within 3 hrs of time. Then I gave the glass colours of my own choice. Actually when I am talking of glass, you have to give only glass colours which will always look bright . PLEASE do not give fabric or acrylic colours which will make your painting dull. Then I finished giving colours. IT took 1 day to dry. Then for God's pictures you can give GLITTERS, WHICH WILL LOOK REALLY AWESOME. YOU CAN buy glitters of different colours like silver, gold, red, lightgreen, skyblue, navyblue, magenta, pink, lavender etc..............

Start giving glitters of your own creativity. I finished my glittering in 10 days because it was a very big picture (See picture above).

APPLYING GLITTERS

Its really an interesting one to give glittering.Buy an fabric glue (hobby crafts) for Rs.15. Reverse the glass .The side which you are going to apply glitter should be the other side of which you have given colours. Apply the glue on which you want to give the glitter. After applying the glue ,apply the glittering of any colour.Do the same for whole picture.Give contrasting colours for (ex)if you give a silver colour give a contrasting red or pink as a design above the surface of the silver. It will really look interesting. It will took 1or 2 days to get dry.Your awesome painting is ready now.WHILE FRAMING keep a plain white or a dark background. THIS PAINTING WILL BE OF YOUR OWN CREATIVITY.

WIDEN YOUR THOUGHTS & CREATIVITY BY DOING GLASS PAINTINGS.............................

GLASS PAINTING-LAKSHMI NEERAJA

A GOOD RELIEF FROM STRESS

I started doing glass paintings as a leisure time activity. But its really interesting that I started getting fully involved in to it. It is one way of relaxing your mind & relaxing your brain cells. Nowadays most of the people have mental tension due to their jobs, day to day problems etc..but there is a way to calm & make your mind de-stressed. Just spend half an hour time in doing glass painting you get relaxed and feel happy also.

MAKING THE PAINTING

Just buy a small sized (A4) glass. for Rs. 25 or 30 . Choose a design of your choice for example)bouquet,a dancing girl, peacock ,parrots etc.....Take a photocopy of the design. You can also get it from the net. Place the design beneath the glass. Before starting, buy a glass painting kit from brands such as Camlin or Faber Castell). Take the outliner (black) to trace the design . Draw the design on the glass using the glass liner. After you have finished drawing, take the solvent based colours and apply it to your choice and imagination. Now, your painting is ready. While framing you can give an aluminium or gold foil as a background.

TRY THIS & EXPERIENCE YOUR SIMPLE PLEASURE.

More to come..
